THE TAMAKI CLUB,
ANNUAL MEETING HELD.
Tlie annual meeting of the Taruaki \acht Club was held lust evening at Kohimarama, Mr. W. A. Wilkinson presiding over a food attendance o£ members. . 'LHe report stated that tho membership stood at 145, ail iuci'easo of 19. lho ladies committee had worked hard and ita euorta resulted in a substantial increase in . tbo clubhouse fund. A special report submitted by Mr. Marshall-White on tho clubhouse ?iito rovcalecl a very satisfactory < position, and the incoming committee was instructed to accept a lease of the Bastion loint on the terms set out. Mr. White wiib thanked for his services. The balance-sheet showed s, credit balance of £29 on tho year's working. The following officers v.-ero elected: Pntron, Mr. Neville Nuwconib; vice-patrons, Messrs. F. 11. Browne, J. A. Hollowny. K. Brook field and J. W. Androw: president, Mr, H. K. Jenkins, M.P.; commodore, A.r. W. A. Wilkinson; vice-commodore, Mr. E. Eowo: rear-commodore, Mr. i. J. tawcett ; lion, seer'fary. Captain H. C. Barnes; assistant. Mr- J. White; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. Jackson; hon. solicitor, Mr. MarshallWhite; lion, auditors, Messrs. J. Allison and W. McLean: hon. architect, Mr. M. K. Draffin; clubhouse captain. Mr A. White; committee, Measrs Marshall-White. Madill, Nicholas, Gray. J. White, (oe. Claridue, J. Andrew, Birch Kced and Bricked; starter, Mr. W. A. Wilkinson; timekeeper, Mr. Nicholas; mage, Mr. It. sum of £ls was voted to clubhouso Votes of thanks were accorded tho ladies' committee. Mr. Marshall-White and the iclirinjt treasurer, Mr. A. H. l'orbes. A number of now members was elected and 21 trophies were promised for the coming season.
AMALGAMATION OF CLUBS.
PONSONBY AND RICHMOND,
A conference of tho officers nnd committee representing tho Ponsonby and 'Richmond Cruising C'lubs will lie held in the Ponsonby Club's boatbouso this evening lor the DurPOPO of discussing the proposed amalgamation of these two clubs. A Kreut clout of interest ie being tnken in tho matter nn:l there is every indication of the proposal being carried into effect.
