FIGHT WITH A FOX.
THREE DOGS CRIPPLED. While working near an old unoccupied homestead near Muswellbrook, * New South Wales, Mr. Alfred Brown saw three of his dogs race into the building. Following them, he found them a fox at bay in the bathroom. When he tried to assist them, the fox attacked him savagely, and, though four more dogs were brought into the fray, tho fox was not killed until three dogs were crippled. Mr. Brown states that tho fox was the largest he has over seen. A peculiar fact is that the foxes which have lived in tho ompty house have not interfered with several fowls left there when ifc was vacated. f
