The Otago Rugby Union received a letter from tho Canterbury Union suggesting that an outside referee bo chosen for tho OtagoCanterbury match at Christcliurch. It was decided to reply that Otago preferred to have a Canterbury referee. One speaker remarked that football was only a gunu> and if they could not take the Canterbury referee in tho match against Canterbury ho thought they should not phial all.
