CARD AFTERNOON.

An 'enjoyable card afternoon in the form of 'fine euchre was given by Mis. Prosser, of' Queen's Parade. Devonpoit, at John Court's tea rooms _on Tuesday afternoon to the members of the Devonport Bowling Green Croquet Club arid other friends. Mrs. Prosser received her guests wearing pillar box red velvet, seal coat and red hat. She was assisted by Mrs. Prosser, jun. Bright Iceland poppies decorated the tables and the tea was much appreciated. Among the guests were: Mrs. G. H. Lar.'ey, president of the 8.G.C.C.. Mrs. B. Spragco.n, Mrs. C'. Hadley, Mrs. R.
