JOINING PRESBYTERIANS.
DECISION OF VICAR.
APPEAL OF NEW CHURCH.
[BY TELEGRATH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
HAMILTON. Monday
The Rev. IT. E. Jones, who recently resigned his appointment as vicar of St. George's, Frankton, lias applied to the Waikato Presbytery to be received into the ministry of the* Presbyterian Church. He gave as his reasons the appeal the democratic government of that church made to him, and the fact that be found that his theological views were in line with those of that denomination.
Ths Presbytery forwarded the application to the General Assembly, with a strong recommendation that Mr. Jouc-s be accepted. The General Assembly will meet in March next, but in the meantime Mr. Jones will be given an appointment under the Home Mission Committee.'
