FOUR RIDERS INJURED.

RACE IN VICTORIA. TWO IN SERIOUS STATE. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received August 11. 5.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Aug. 11. Four apprentice riders were injured when their mounts fell in the race for the Chatsworth Plate yesterday. P. O'llanlon, rider of Third King, and ,T. Scarlett, rider of Sartarcso, were sent to hospital in a serious condition. The other horses concerned were Black Ink and Cetotis.

Of the 19 horses which started four came down at the end of three furlongs. An inquiry was opened and adjourned until the jockeys are. fit to give evidence.
