LOSS OF SUBMARINE.
COMMANDER ACQUITTED.
NEGLIGENCE NOT PROVED. Australian Press Association —United Service LONDON. Aug. 9. The court-martial acquitted Commander Oram of the Ll2, which sank submarine H 47. He was charged with contributing to the negligent navigation of his ship. There was some conflict regarding the message sent from the bridge to Commander Oram. The defence submitted that the evidence showed that the messenger failed to deliver the message.
