VICTORIA CLUB'S MEETING. MOSSTROOPER WINS AGAIN. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received August 11. 5.-15 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Aug. 11. Tho Victoria Amateur Turf Club's August Meeting was concluded at Caul field yesterday. The following was the result of the leading event:— THE AUSTRALIAN STEEPLECHASE. Of £2IOO. About 3! miles. Mosstrooper lod over the first fence, and going easily passed tin stand two lengths ahead of Williatijie and George Gilliam. Willanjie fell at the fence near the sevenfurlongs post, Standhurst toppling over him. Mosstrooper hud a load of two and a-hult lengths into tho straight the last time round from Epergne and Senlit. Namera was last, but then began to move forward. Seafit looked threatening at the half-mile, but Mosstrooper, jumping well. wor. easily by three lengths. Namera was three lengths nwny third, with Eporgno five lengths further back, in fourth place. George William was last. Time, 7m O'.s.

At Mooneo Valley meetings hold m Juno and July last ho scored throe snccessivo victories in steeplechase events, and going on to Flomington he was only defeated l>y a neck for tho V.Tt.O. Grand National Steeplechase. At Caull'icld on the 3rd ilist.. lie led the Held homo ill the Australian Hurdle Race, and by adding the Australian Steeplechase to his list of victories. ho now takes rank among notable winners of au important double event.
