To Toro won tho knock-out competition for ladies' teams conducted by the Franklin Hockey Association. To loro bent Buckland by two goals to one in the final, which was played at Waiuitu to-day, and thus becomes tho winner of the Smith rosebowt. The junior men's shcld was won by Glcnbrook, which defeated Wesley. College in tho final bv 6 goal., to 3. 'Una gamo was also played at Waiuku to-day. The association's season has now ended. Scorers for Te Aroha were Misses H. Blackmore and B. Manning, and for Putaruru Miss Darrcll scored. WELLINGTON V. WAIRAEAPA. [BY TELEGRAPH. —rKESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Sunday. The Wellington-Wairarapa. representative hockey game was played on a heavy ground ut. the Basin Reserve yesterday. Mainly owing to defensive work .by boll* sides there was no score, at half-time. The Wellington forwards did not combine well, but the visiting vanguard made a irood showing. In the second spell Wellington was definitely superior. and in tho final stages put on three goals in quick succession. Judd, HOare. and Ferguson were the scorers.
