BOXING.
TITLE CONTEST TO-NIGHT.
The boxing match for the prolespioiml light-heavy-weight championship of Now Zealand. between Jim Broadfoot. challenger, and Tlddie Parker, holder, will take place at the Town Hall to-night. It is expected to be a. very good bout. The Aucklandcr lias beaten Parker twice, but on occa3ion3 when the title waa not involved. Another bout at Wellington resulted in a win for the champion after a very fine fight. . Broadfoot. has not beon_ seen in i the Auckland ring for some time, and it is thought in some quarters this will be tho forerunner of a series of bouts for him. Tho amateur preliminaries should be very fine, ds some of the best performers at tho recent amateur championships will be competing. Altogether the programme is one which should appeal strongly to boxing enthusiasts.
