TELEGRAPH. —ATHLETIC REPORTER.] CARTERTON, Saturday The second Ranfurly Shield match of the season played hero to-day between Waharapa and Auckland resulted in a 'win for Wairarapa, holders, by 17 points to 14. Wairarapa scored ono converted "try and four penalty goals against four tries by Auckland, ono of which was converted. As a big fixture the match wail rather disappointing, moro especially in tho •first spell. Wairarapa can account it-Self?-lucky to still hold the shield, ns undoubtedly Auckland held a distinct territorial advantage. It was only tho fine kicking of Fuller which turned the tables in the homo team's favour.
