THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE. LOAN AND AGENCY SALES. Another large volume of business was done on tho Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when gilt-edge securities and commercial debentures remained firm without change and several sales of long neglected loan and agency shares were tnade. Now Zealand Breweries deben tures changed hands thre-a times at 28s 3d an increase of 3d. In banks New Zealands improved a shade with ti sale at 61s 6d. Unions of Australia were done at £ls 2s 6d. A salo at the same figure and one at £ls 3s 6d (Melbourno register) wero made in tho city on Wednesday. Tho shares closed firmer than on the previous day In insurance South British were unchanged with a sale at 68s. Offers for Australian Provincials advanced to 13s, sellers reappearing at 14s. In loan and agency tho ordinary issno of North Auckland Farmers' Co-ops. sold twice at 3s 2d, an advance of 2d on tho last local salo in December, and tho B preference issue improved Is 3d with a sale at 12s 3d. Wright, Stephonsons improved 4s 6d on their last Auckland sale in June, 1928, by changing hands at 26s 6d Thcro wero closing offers of 25s 6d, sellers 275. Goldsbrough, Morts wore firmor. In the coal section buyers' offers fully maintained the recent Thero were no sellers' quotations for Taupiris, and holders of Pukomiros firmed Is to 75a. In gas Aueklands, ordinary, wero twice done at the current price, 24s Id, and tho contributing issue sold again at 17s 9d. In shipping Huddart-Parkors were dono at the current price, 45s 9d. In tho miscellaneous section Booth, Macdonalds improved 7d on tho last Auckland salo to change hands at Is lOd, and New Zealand Farmers' Fertilisers easod 4d with a sale at 245. Wilsons Cements had sale at 44s 3d, the level of the last two Auckland sales. Tho same price was offered for more, but sellers rose to 455. In mining Waihis improved Id with a sale at lis lid at which price there was further inquiry, sellers I2s. An Australian sale of Ratrtii Tin at 19s 6d was made.
