PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

DATES OF SUMMER SCHOOLS.

Arrangements for tho holding of the summer schools as usual this year are being made by the Home Mission Committee of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. It is proposed to hold the schools at Christchurch, Danncvirko and Auckland. Tho first will begin about October 3, the second nbout October 10, and tho third about October 17.

The principal lecturers will he the Rev. John Collie. M.A., whose subject will be <;t. Mark's gospel, and the Ivev. D. (J. Horron, who will lecture on Joremiah. The afternoon studies will embrace such subjects as " How to Interest Our People in Missions," " Our Church's \ outh Work" and " Our Church's Educational Work."

J. 11. Starnos presiding. The chairman said that during the year a new hall had been erected and in furtherance of the scheme of building a new church two donations of £SO had been received. The session reported that Ihe Rev. R. M. Hushes would shortly be taking up his duties in Te Aroha. The balance-sheet showed ;i very satisfactory stale of affairs.
