BURGLAR PLEADS GUILTY.
HOLE BURNED IN DOOR.
COMMITTAL FOR SENTENCE

A plea of guilty was iriado by Gilbert Douglas Pryce, a labourer, nged 25, in the Tnihapo Police Court to-day, to two
rbarges of breaking, entering and theft, at Taihape. The charges preferred against I'ryue vvero that on Juno 20 he entered by flight tho shop of Frank Hamill, hairdresser and tobacconist, Taihape, and stolo goods valuod at £l4 14s, and that on tho same date ho broke into the premises of Allan Smith, billiard saloon proprietor, Taihape, and stole a small sum of money. The evidence showed that Pryco gained entrance to ITamill's shop by burning a hole in tho door largo enough to admit his hand, so that ho could turn tho k->y. Smith's saloon and Hnmill's premises form part of tho same building. Accused had nothing to say and v:as committed to tho Supremo Court at Wellington for sentence.
