NAVAL VISIT TO AUSTRALIA.
NEW EARTHQUAKE SCENES
An exceptionally wide selection of photographs from all parts of the Dominion and overseas countries is reproduced in tho current issue ol (he Auckland Weekly News, which is on sale to-day. The centre double-page is devoted to pictures of tho visit to Australia of units of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. This series is most striking and should be greatly appreciated by all.
Further scenes from the earthquake areas occupy several pages. The illustrations vividly portray the great damage caused in the Karamea and other West Coast districts. Particularly striking is a full page photograph of a shattered highway in the Buller County. The sporting public will find interest in tho photographs taken at tho Wellington Racing Club's recent meeting at Trentham. The opening game of the All Blacks tour in Australia is also well featured. Other interesting pages include colourful scenes from the great annual military tattoo at Aldershot, England, and a remarkablo collection of big game hunting studies secured in Kenya Colony and the Tanganyika Territory. Of Dominion interest are photographs of the Waitaki hydroelectric scheme, the staff and pupils of the Massey Agricultural College, Palmerstou North, horsemen at the Manawatu Show, and last week's "change over" from tramcars to buses in Gisborne.
