NEW ZEALAND SQUADRON.
DINNER TO THE OFFICERS. MELBOURNE, July 13. Commodore Swabey and the officers of (he Now Zealand naval squadron were entertained at dinner by- prominent New Zealandcrs resident in Sydney. Mr. 11. J. Manson (New Zealand) presided. Among those present were the Lord Mayor, Admiral Sydenham, Commodore Stevenson and the Secretary of the Naval Defence Department. Mr. Richard Linton, M.L.A., proposed the toast of tho visitors and Commodore Swabey replied. Dr. J. A. Gilruth proposed tho toast of Iho Royal Australian Navy and Commodore Stevenson responded. The Lord Mayor paid a compliment to New Zealand's representation in .Australia.
