GOLDEN WEDDING.

RESIDENTS OF WAIUKU. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Greenhcad, of Waiuku, will celebrate their golden wedding to-morrow. Born in London, Mr. Greenhead travelled to Australia at the age of 18, arriving at Moreton Bay on April 14. 1874. Ho obtained employment as a stockman on the Pilton Station on the Darling Downs, and after his marriage to Miss Eliza Anne Holmes, of the same district, he took over the management of a general store at Allora. He came to New Zealand m 1884, and took up residence at Waiuku, where lie and his wife have re sided ever since.

Mrs. Greenhead came to New Zealand with her parents on the ship Matoka in December, 1864, and tho family settled at Waiuku. They later took up land at Pilton, Queensland, and it was in that district that Mrs. Greenhead first met her future husband. The wedding was solemnised at y ' King's Creek, Darling Downs, Queensland, on July 16, 1879.

Mr. and Mrs. Greenhcad have a family of six daughters and one son.
