In the cricket match Gentlemen versus Players the Gentlemen in the first innings made 450. The Players in the first innings made 334 (Hobbs 32, Ducat 50, A. Staples 86).
SOUTH AFRICAN ORICKETERS.
DRAWN GAME WITH WALES. Australian Prefig Association—United Service LONDON, July 11. In the match against Wales the South Africans in the second innings inado 239 (Deane 64). Barnes took four for 62. Wales in the second innings made 224 for three (Batos 102, Benn 68). The match was drawn.
BILLIARDS AT MELBOURNE.

In spite of a break by Willie Smith of 1058 Walter Lindrum holds the lead in the billiards match. Lindrum has scored 19,738 and Smith 18,931.

PASSENGERS ON MAHENO. Australian and N.Z. Prosei Association. , SYDNEY, July 12. The Australian hockey team will leave by tho Maheno for New Zealand to-day.
