PERMITTING ART UNIONS.
METHODISTS EXPRESS REGRET The decision of tlio Government to grant permits to hold art unions was discussed by the Dovonport. Methodist Circuit at its quarterly meeting on Thursday evening. A resolution was passed expressing regret that such a step had been taken, thus opening facilities far increased gambling.
It was also decided to register an emphatic protest against the screening of picture programmes on Sunday.
