The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company:— For the period ended June 29, comprising 21 crushing days, 16,541 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 6214 fine ounces of gold and 22.945 fine ounces of silver. This includes 873 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 525 ounces of gold and 7644 ounces of silver.
So 10 Level.—Dominion Lode: In the j crosscut at 91ft. west the last 13ft. assays 132s 6d per ton, making the total true width 20fL., of an average assay value of 97s 9d per ton. North Leader: Driving south-west the next 13ft. is of little or no value. The vein has now pinched out. Driving north-east the next 35ft. is of lifile or no value. Work in both directions is stopped. The quart/ on the hanpinsrwall is not payable. A crosscut is beic™ put out to the , footwall, whe;e good ore was carried in \ the vicinity of the mam rise. At a point 750 ft. southward of the main crosscut at this level, n crosscut is being. proiected from the hanginjrwitll country into the Carnoola lode. Good ore is exposed here. The tramway connection with the mill, with the exception of two culverts. has been completed. The construction of the milling plant is being accelerated by the employment of an extra shift with a view , to the commencement of milling toward j the end of Austist. i
