The tuonoplnnc Southern Cross, will) Squadron-Leader Kmgsford Smith, FlightLieutenant, C. T. P. Ulm (co-pilots), Mr. H. A. Litchfield (navigator), and Mr. T. H. McWillianis (wireless operator), in continuation of the Might to England, arrived at Alliens from Bagdad yesterday at 7 p.m. The airmen left for ltoinc this morning. The flight to Athens from Sydney took 14 days.
Following are details of the flight of the Southern Cross to date:—
June 25.—Left Richmond, Sydney, for Derby, Western Australia, about 2100
miles. June 26.—Arrived at Derby after flight
of 22 hours 5 minutes. June 27. —Left Derby for Singapore,
about 2020 miles. June 28.—Arrived at .Singapore,
June 29.—Left Singapore and landed at Singora, Siain, about 450 miles. June 30.—Arrived at Rangoon, Burma, from Singora, about 690 miles. July 2.—Left Rangoon and arrived at Calcutta, about 660 miles. j u | v 3.—l' Tew from Calcutta to Allaha- * bad, about 460 miles. July 4.—Flew from Allahabad to Karachi, about 890 miles. July 6.—Left Karachi for Basra and Bagdad, Irak. j u |y 7.—Arrived at Basra from Karachi, about 1350 miles, flew on to Bagdad,
about 320 miles from Basra. Julv B—Arrived at Athens front Bagdad,
'about 1280 miles. , j u ]y 9 —Left Athens for Rome, about 600 miles.
