BOY SHOT IN HEAD.
PURSUIT OF A RABBIT.
FATHER FIRES AT ANIMAL. ACCIDENT AT GLEN MASSEY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.J NGARUAW AHI A, Monday. At Glen Massey yesterday afternoon Mr. David Kerr, an employco of tho Glen Massey Brick Works, and his two sons went out, rabbit shooting. One of tho sons, William, fired at a rabbit on tho other side of a fence and wounded it. The second son, David, aged 11 years and sevon months, dived through tho fenco after tho rabbit just as his father fired. The bullet struck the boy in tho head, killing his instantaneously. At tho inquest to-day, before Mr. F. W. Platts, coroner, a verdict of accidentally shot was returned.
