ANSELM CASE DECISION.
[i;y telegraph.—ritEss association.] WELIiIKGTON. Monday. The Trotting Board met today. Tho disqualification of J. Jeffrey nnd Good Oil by tho West Australian Association was endorsed. It was unanimously decided to refuse the request of G. Grant for the removal of his life disqualification, forwarded by tho Now South Wales Club in connection with Prince liuon, who was shipped to Sydney in 1922. On tho identity of tho horso being established, Grant hud refused to divulge any information. Tho previous decision in regard to Anselm being unplaced after starting off 72yds instead of 81yds at the Waikato meeting was confirmed, a decision carrying authority for the payment of the slakes. Tho club, howevor, is being asked if it has any recommendation to make in view of tho fact that tho jockey, Allan, who was fined £5. was not solely responsible for the mistake. The Forbury Park Club had no recommendation to make regarding the application by Townlcy for tho reduction of a £25 fine for crossing in tho Otago Handicap, and Townley is being informed accordingly In tho case of Uennett. driver of Trimmer, who was fined £3 for undue use of tho whip by tho Canterbury Park Club, the evidenco revealed that Bennett had not used tho whip, but the ends of tho reins, and tho matter was roferred back to tho club with a suggestion for further consideration, as tho evidenco did not justify tho finding of undue use of the whip.
