LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
Tho monthly meoting of tho third Rernuera branch of the League of Mothers was held in the North Memorial Church Hall. It was well attended, also interesting, tho president Mrs. L. Blackwood, carrying her hearers for a short visit to " The Land of tho Midnight Sun," in a travel talk. Each member had been requested to bring a child's garment for tho benefit of tho sufferers from tho earthquakes. So good was the response that over 140 garments, principally warm wear for children, rugs, etc., have been forwarded to tho different relief organisations, the offer of the Government of post-free carriage being much appreciated.
