THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE. MARKET REMAINS BUOYANT. Values on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday remained buoyant. Current offers for locai body and commercial debentures were renewed without change, very few holders quoting. Iho demand for Government securities remained very firm, with only two storks offered by sol lers New Zealand Breweries debentures wore easier. In banks the contributing issue of Nationals ot Australasia improved Is with a salo at £9 17'. and £9 12s 6d was offered all day without any appearance of sellers. Offers for the ordinary and preference issues of Commercials of Aus tnilia were slightly advanced. In insurance Australian Provincials were done at 12s 3d, compared with lis at the Inst sale at the end of June. At the noon call 12s Id was offered for more, sol lers 12s 6d Iri shipping Northerns changed hands 3d easier at 13s 9d. In creased interest was displayed m timbei shares, Bartholomews. Kauris and Nation als all being in demand at slightly advanced figures In breweries New Zealands were done 2s cheaper at the morning call at 775, which was the closing quotation ot sellers, buyers 76s 6d. In (he miscellaneous section Hayward's Pictures were unchanged with a salo at 19s 3d Taranaki Oils were offered at 3s 6d at tho late call, buyers 2s. In mining Ohiniwnuria sold 5d dearer at 8s fid Waihis wore unchanged with two sales at 12s, thero being further inquiry at the price, sellers 12s 2d. Mount Lyeils sold a shade dearer at 41s i!jd.
