DEPUTATION REJECTED. (Received July 5, 0.45 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 5. The Trades Union Council sought to arrange for n deputation to wait upon the Prime Minister, Mr. Bruce, to urge him to prevent the abolition of the Federal •Arbitration Court. However, Mr. Bruce decided that a deputation of the kind would serve no tseful purpose, as the Government had Ufado up its mind. Morever, he said, it I' 7 *® a matter of policy.
