Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received July 5. 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, July The Daily Chronicle says the late General Bratinvell Booth died penniless. Beyond his uniform and a few books he ■Jold no possessions. The general's sole income was £SOOO a year from a trust fund —although he controlled funds oi the Salvation Army amounting to millions—and he had to rely on relatives to pay for the education of his children.
