decisions at meeting. MOUNTAIN PEAK NAMED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. The fifth annual meeting of the Geographical Board, was held in Wellington recently and presided over by Archdeacon H. Williams. The following recommendations of the committee were confirmed: —That an unnamed peak at the head of the Grey Glacier bo named Seymour Peak as a compliment to Mr. W. Seymour for services rendered to the expedition in 1925, that a peak to the west of Mount Hector be named Field Peak as a compliment to Mr. W. H. Field, M.P. for Otaki, who was the first one to take a tramping party over the peak in question; that two passes between Mounts Lendenfeld and Tasman be named Marcel Pass (after Mr.'Marcel King) and Harold Pass (after Mr. Harold E. Porter), two well-known t explorers of that locality. The board decided to recommend that the name of "Mercury Bay" should be _ - adopted for the post office at Whitianga, Mercury Bay, and the retaimnent of the name 'Tamaki" for the railway station in - , iho Jamaki district, Auckland. The board recommended the adoption oi the name of Amokura for. a railway siding between Mercer and Mr. A. H. Watt, schoolmaster, ieJiao, North Auckland, was elected corresponding member of the board. .. . joh
