THE CRUISER EMDEN.

ARRIVAL ARRANGEMENTS. i - VESSEL TO DOCK ON TUESDAY. I During much of her stay the German cruiser Emden, which is due at Auckland from Thursday Island early on Tuesday morning, will be in the Calliope tjock undergoing fairly extensive repairs. *The cruiser will anchor in the stream until the interchange of official calls has been completed. This will not be before mid-day, but as soon as it is over the vessel will go into dock, to remain there until Sunday, Julie 30. Afterwards she will berth at Central Wharf for the three days remaining before her departure for Wellington. Most of the ship's- company will be fairly fully occupied while she is in dock, but in addition to trips to Rotorua and the Waitomo Caves for parties of officers, more or less private receptions have been arranged in Auckland. It is highly probable that a reception will be held on board the,, cruiser after she berths on the city side of the harbour.
