ALABASTER BOWLS.
Tho alabaster bowls used for semiindirect electric lighting should never be cleaned with soap and water, or their surface is irreparably spoiled. Dust tho bowl, then dip a soft, clean rag in methylated spirit, and go over the surface inside and outside. This will remove all dirt, after which gentle rubbing with a clean rag and a little white furniture cream will restore the polish.
