CLEAN YOUR BLACK LEAD BRUSH.
Make a solution of warm soapy water, and add a little soda. Stir the brush round and round the suds with a stick, changing the water as it gets very dirty. Repeat till clean, then scrub tho back and the handle. A piece of string threaded through the handle of the brush will save plunging the hands into the dirty water.
