DAMAGE BY FIRE.
OUTBREAK AT PAPATOETOE. Fire caused small damage to the washhouse attached to the residence of Mrs. F. C. Winter, Great South Road, Papatoetoe, about 8.30 cn Wednesday evening. Prompt action by neighbours prevented the flames from spreading, and before the arrival of the Papatoetoe fire brigade the outbreak was extinguished. Tho total damage is estimated at about £SO.
