A FISHING HOLIDAY.
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S PARTYj
GOOD SPORT ENJOYED
After an enjoyable and successful fishing holiday of two weeks on the banks of the Tongariro River, the GovernorGeneral, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson, returned to Auckland yesterday. ' Sir Charles Fergusson, Captain E. P. 0. : Boyle, military secretary, and Captain Orr-Ewing, A.D.C., caught 119 trout. They enjoyed excellent sport, tiao majority of the fish being in fine condition. They were accommodated at the caretaker's cottage, Government hatcheries, on" the banks of the Tongariro River. For the greater part of the holiday the weather was favourable.
This was probably the last fishing holiday His Excellency \yill spend in the Dominion as his term as Governor-General is drawing to a close.
