Australian Press Association—United Service LONDON, May 11. The Evening Standard says it is possible that a number of British goliers will seek to avenge Hagen's victory at Muirfield by sending a small group to compete in the American open championship at Winged I'oot, New York, in June. Compston originated the idea, and at least three other professionals are willing to go. Diegel (America) enthusiastically welcomed the idea. He said: ' I will see that they get a great reception at Winged Foot. The course should suit the British demands for long drives, and second shots with brassies, spoons or irons. There is a smaller premium on putting than on the majority of Ameiican courses."
