THE TRANSPORT BOARD.
MOUNT ROSKILL CANDIDATE.
At a meeting of tho Mount Roskill Road Board last evening Mr. G. E. Tansley drew attention to tho reports of the proposed withdrawal of Mr. E. S. Morton from tlio Transport Board, and stated that after consultation with .several of his Colleagues, including the chairfnari, Mr. E. E., Jones, he had decided to offer his services to fill the vacancy. He had the necessary time to dovote to the ;work and considered it most essential that an extensive outside district like Mount .Roskill should have direct representation on the board. It was'decided to defer action until the next meeting. Mr,. Tansley has resided in the Mount Roskill district for over 18 years. He is now .in his thirteenth year as a. member of the Road Board, of which ho was chairman for eight years.
