P. F. WARNER'S PUBLICATION. The spring number of 'J lie Cricketer, edited by P. F. Warner, (lie famous English ex-captain, has made its appearance. As usual it contains a fund of valuable and most interesting information concerning the game in various parts of I lie world. In addition to a review of last year's tour of Australia by flic English team, there is a record of the Plunket Shield series played in New Zealand and details of games in the West. Indies, Kenya, Nigeria, Malta, China. Persia, Calcutta and Bombay amongst, other places. This gives an idea of the wide territory covered A great deal of information is offered about the South African team at present in England. This is a young side, all but two of the players being under 30 years of age. it naturally follows (ha! (lie team has a splendid reputation for field ing. Deane, the captain, Taylor and Catterall are the only three who have visited England previously. Amongst articles too numerous to mention arc an appreciation <>f J. tWhite, the Somerset bowler and vice-captain of the last English team; the art of bowling, by G. A. Faulkner, the ex-South African; and chapters five a:;d six of P. F. Warner's cricketing life. These arc extracts from Warner's book, published in 192.1, rind they deal concisely with his tour of New Zealand in 1902-3.
