THE HARBOUR BRIDGE.
INSTITUTION OF. INQUIRY. DEPUTATION FOR WELLINGTON. A large deputation left for Wellington last evening to request the Hon. P. A. dd la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, to institute immediately the necessary departmental inquiry to determine the most suitable site and to discuss the financial side of the proposed harbour bridge. The deputation will be introduced by Mr. R. H. Greville, president of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Association, and will include Air. J. S. Fletcher, M.P. for Grey Lynn; Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of tho Auckland Hospital Board; Mr. G. L. Taylor, member of the Mount Eden Borough Council; Air. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport, and member of the Auckland Harbour Board; Mr. J. W. Hayden, deputy-mayor of Takapuna, and chairman of the Waitemata Power Board; Mr. A. E. Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote, and member of the Auckland Harbour and Waitemata Power Boards; Mr. J. P. McPhail, Mayor of Birkenhead, and member of the Auckland Education Board; Air. G. O'Halloran, vice-president of the Bridge Association, member of the Waitemata County Council and Waitemata Power Board; and Air. C. G. Ashdowne, organising secretary of the Bridge Association.
