DISCRIMINATING THIEVES.

BURGLARY AT WELLINGTON. MUCH VALUABLE BOOTY. [BY TELEGRAM. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WELLINGTON, Thursday. The burglars who entered the jewellery shop of Mr. H. W. Lloyd in Cuba Street some time between Saturday night and Monday morning showed a certain amount of discrimination in selecting their booty. They rejected inexpensive goods, even when they were placed among more costly articles.

The articles stolen included gold and silver watches, bracelets, watch-chains, bangles, gold armlets and diamond rings.
