Thursday At a meeting of the Tauranga County Council refusal was given a request that the back portion of the new theatre, in Spring Street, might he built in iron The site is within the brick area. Mr R. -J- lierridgo, of Gisborne, asked it the council was prepared to lease the Town Hall for an exhibition of pictures. The matter was referred to the Town Hall Committee. The council appointed Messrs. C. Whit ing and J. M Dailies as delegates to the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Development League. The manager reported that 550 head of stock were dealt with at. the abattoir in April.
