FLAT S AT REMUERA.
QUESTION UNDER BY-LAWS
I'here appears to bo some doubt whether blocks of flats can be erected in Remuera under the existing by-laws The Auckland City Council last evening received an application for leave to erect one at the corner of Victoria and Tiro lianga Avenues.
The ncting-city engineer reported that it. there was a minimum area by-law in force in the Remuera district and no provision was made in the by-laws for the erection of such a building as that proposed, it was desirable that the matter should be referred to the Town Planning Committee. The application was referred to the committee accordingly.
