COLLISION IN CITY.
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S CAR. OTHER MOTORIST ~ FINED. As a result of- colliding with a motor* car in which the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, was travelling in Queen Street recently, Frederick Beehan was charged in th.e Police Court yesterday with dangerous driving. Defendant, who admitted bis' guilt, ran into the back of the GovernorGeneral's car outside the Town Hall just as the car was stopping to allow Sir Charles to alight. No damage was done and no one was injured.
magistrate, Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, imposed a fine of 10s and ordered Beehan' to pay costs, 19s.
