PROPOSALS OF THE MEN.
REJECTION BY CABINET. (.Received May 1. 10.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 1. After a sitting which lasted all day yesterday, the Ne,v South Wales Cabinet decideo that it cculd not accept the latest proposals for the settlement of the coal mining dispute which were put forward by the conference of the rtiinitig unions. The acting-Premier, Mr. E. A. Buttenshaw, announces that the Government emphatically refuses to make any other proposals for a settlement of the dispute.
