FURTHER ADVANCE FOR SHEEP.

There was an average yarding of beef at the weekly Westfield fat stock sale yesterday, although heavier prime classes were not largely represented. The demand was steady, values generally being at late quotations. Extra choice ox again sold at 58s per 1001b. Competition was keen and values again advanced for sheep, of which the supply was on the short side. A line of extra heavy prime wethers sold to 39s 6d, Lambs, which were yarded in average numbers, found u ready sale at late quotations.- : 1

There was a smaller yarding of fat pigs, which met with keen competition. Values were fully on a par with last week's rates, although porkers again showed an easing tendency toward the close of the sale.
