SWIMMING.
MILITARY ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. The Auckland Military Sports' Association held its second annual swimming championship meeting at the Tepid Baths last evening. There was a large attend,ujco of cadets and territorials, but the public did not attend in large numbers. Competition was keen and most of the events resulted in closo finishes. The fixture was promoted to create team spirit and eliminate as far as possiblo individualism. Entries were limited to one per event from each unit. No competitor was allowed to compete in more than one event with the exception of the diving competition and the relay race. Well-known competitive swimmers were successful in most of (he events. In the Senior Cadets results the abbreviations are:—A.G.S.. Auckland Grammar School; M.A.G.S., Mount Albert Grammar School; T.C.. Technical College; S.H.C.. Sacred Heart College.
