THE QUEEN'S DRESSERS.
The. news that among the sufferers from 'influenza at Buckingham Palace are two of the Queen's dressers is a reminder that Royal ladies, like leading actresses, always have "dressers" and not. "maids." While the dress even of a fashionable woman has now become "labour-saving," the Queen's duties demand a wardrobe which still entails a great deal of care, and He? Majesty's outfits for State occasions have to be planned far ahead. When the King and Queen go away, each item of attire required during the visit, down to each collar and handkerchief, is carefully set down on a typewritten list.
