MOUNT EDEN COUNCIL.
NEW MEN TOP THE POLL. DEFEAT OF TWO MEMBERS. l'lieie was no contest for the Mayoralty of Mount Eden, Mr. E. 11. Potter, who has been Mayor since August, 1923, being again returned unopposed. The feature ol the council election was that the four new members returned all appeared at .the head of the poll. Nineteen candidates, including 10 members of the old council, offered themselves for the 12 seats on the council, and all but two of the sitting councillors wcro successful in securing re-election.
