THEFT IN DAYLIGHT.
GREEN LANE HOUSE ENTERED. In daylight a daring thief entered the house of Mr. Cyril L. Slyfield, Puriri Avenuo, Green Lano, this week, and ransacked every room in the home. While Mrs. Slyfield was absent for 15 minutes the intruder gained entrance through the bathroom window and immediately commenced a search for money. Furniture and clothing wore strewn everywhere On returning Mrs. Slyfield disturbed the thief, who ran out of tho back door. Mrs. Slyfield followed him, but ho jumped a fence, dashed through a neighbour's grounds and escaped. A purse containing a few pence was all that was missing.
