SUICIDE AT SEA.
PASSENGER FOUND HANGED.
Following periods of depression and fits, during which he suffered from de-, lusions, Mr. B. Adler, a third-class passenger bound for Napier, was found hanged in the hospital on the Tamaroa a week out from Panama, when the vessel was on her way from Southampton to Auckland. He was buried at sea, the service being conducted by tho ship's commander, Captain W. 11. Hartman. , Except that he was aged about 28, and was of Polish extraction, little is known of Mr. Adler. He was apparently on his way to New Zealand to settle here. Two or three days before he was found hanged he made, an attempt to take his life. As a result of this his hands we re bound together and a careful watch was kept on him. However, ho managed to free his hands when alone for a moment, and was later discovered hanging.
