GALLANTRY AT FIRE.
MAN RESCUES A CHILD.
RETURNS FOR DEAD INFANT. SYDNEY. April 30. An 13-months-old child, Robert Hogan, was burned to death, a brother aged three being rescued, under thrilling ciicumstances, in a fire at a residence in Petersham, a suburb of Sydney. A man named Charlesworth rushed into the burning room and effected a courageous rescue. He found the child Robert dead on his first visit, but returned and carried the body out to the street after having ■ first rescued the elder boy, who was nearly suffocated. The mother of the children previously had made repeated attempts to enter the blazing room. Mr. Charlesworth was burned about the hands and face.
