NAVAL ARMAMENTS.
] BRITAIN AND AMERICA. CONVERSATIONS ARRANGED. //' (Received April 30, 5.5 p.m.) United Sen-ice. LONDON, April 29. The political correspondent of the Daily Herald says he learns that private consultations between British and American experts are to be commenced immediately in connection with the naval proposals of the. president of the United States, Mr. Herbert Hoover.
It is stated that the conversations will be strictly confidential and that no information will be available for the public. It is not likely that much will be known about the proceedings for several weeks. It is confidently hoped, says the correspondent, that if Britain and America mutually agree there will be little difficulty about the other Powers following Ihdm.
